We began this celebration of queer and trans love in 2010 and we are thrilled to be back for another year!
We are excited to be expanding Blockobana this year to new areas and heights! We are holding the event in Regent Park (the actual “Regent Park” park- just across the street from Daniels Spectrum)
Spend the day with us, celebrating Caribana weekend and the Caribbean and African diaspora! Please feel free to bring picnic items, beverages (non-alcoholic) and lime with us in the sun.
The Blockorama/ Blackness Yes crew are building towards a Black Pride weekend. We hope to keep growing Blockobana- we think of it as a corner stone to a queer caribana weekend.
All are welcome!

…….please be aware that all trash must be cleared from the park before we leave and any help on that matter is appreciated.
******RAINY DAY PLAN******
We have booked the big and beautiful Ada Slaight Hall inside Daniel Spectrum in case of rain.
We got you covered! (Literally!)
We are happy to announce that the market place will return! Bring some funds and support local artists and orgs from our communities! And get some fresh gear while you are at it!
Daniels Spectrum Summer Series is produced by Artscape in collaboration with our 2017 program partners and is made possible thanks to the generous support of two anonymous donors.
We are grateful to the help of Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention (Black CAP) for partnering with us. BlackCAP will be on hand the day of with information and more.
We are also grateful to The Daniels Corporation for their donation to Blackness Yes for Blockobana.
